Originally from New York City, Dr. Hollander practices primary care Optometry with a special emphasis on the latest technology and personalized care. Specialties include contact lenses and glasses, as well as refractive surgery co-management. He also performs comprehensive eye health examinations and works with ophthalmologic subspecialties such as vitreo-retinal, refractive, corneal, cataract, cosmetic reconstructive and glaucoma surgeons. Being a primary care specialist allows Dr. Hollander to detect, diagnose, and treat many vision conditions of the eye. Dr. Hollander’s office houses some of the very latest computerized diagnostic instrumentation such as scanning lasers to map the retina and measure the nerve fiber layer for early glaucoma detection.
Dr. Hollander is a lifelong member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association and the Pinellas Society of Optometrist.
Dr. Hollander participates in many charitable causes including the Safety Harbor Lions Club, the Maimonedes Society, the Infant-See program, as well as many others. Dr. Hollander lives in Clearwater with his wife Audrey, children Jennifer and Steven. They share their home with a Labrador Retriever and a Shetland Sheepdog. Dr. Hollander’s hobbies include road bike cycling and travel.
